Let me clarify this matter:
G.H. Hovagimyan is a client of thing.net and his account includes a personal website. Thing.net does not, will not and can not exercise editorial control as to what a client chooses to put on his/her website. If Mattel has a problem and thinks Gerry's piece constitutes a trademark infringement, then this is a matter between their lawyer and Gerry's lawyer.
Personally I think that Mattel looks foolish to make such a fuss about this. Barbie is not only a trademark, but also a cultural icon and to persiflage this ubiquitous toy - at least in my court - clearly falls under "fair use."
