: I've seen the article in Flash art and was very disturb by it.
: Because I am interesting in destructive art in the way that Gustav Metzger
: describes it in "Damaged nature, auto destructive art". In a way that
: destruction could be kind of new way to produce monuments: and I am thinking to
: Smithson and Matta Claerk as much as to "Hiroshima Mon Amour" by Alain Resnais.
: New monument that couls answer to that question: what is the concept of
: comemoration, what comemoration means today, and what could it be possible to
: comemorate?

there is a big difference:
Hiroshima mon amour was a wonderful film
it is not a film based on the material destruction or theft of another cultural
document...
the same is the case with matta clark and smithson
matta clark was intervening in architectural structures only when they
were decided to be destroyed...for example the building that had to go because of
gentrification around the pompidou center or other builds that were immediately afterwards destroyed

he did not forcefully enter a building against the will and the knowledge of the owner that perfectly functioned well its purpose and destroy it by cutting his things

there is absolutely no relationship... except on an esthetic surface... but destruction and theft
are not just esthetic phenomena.. they are more then that
