  1. THE THING NYC AT NEW LOCATION!
    The Bunker days are gone! TTNYC just moved to the Starrett Lehigh Building on 601 West 26th Street, 16th floor. Great view of midtown! Sysop's very happy to see the light of day again. Cool thing: The building is fully wired with fiber optic lines. The new dialup number for the BBS is now 366-1199.

  2. INTERNET GATEWAY:
    eSoft granted THE THING NYC beta tester status for the IPAD (IP adapter). The device functions as a TCP/IP router, terminal, access and DNS server. You are now able to start a telnet session into the BBS right from this page.
  3. WEBSERVER AND PPP CONNECTIONS:
    TNC (Thing Net Communications) is now offering slip/ppp accounts. Rates are $25/month which includes full access to THE THING NYC BBS.
